Are you turning down prospects?
Are you turning down prospects?
04.24.2014Are you turning down prospects? If you’re not using social
media, then the answer is likely yes! Yes, you are passing up the opportunity to
communicate with potential clients. Yes, you are turning down interested
parties looking to learn more about your products and services. And yes, you
are excluding a large portion of your customer base.
So how can you maximize your ability to connect with
prospects? Become a part of the social media movement by slowly integrating
your business into various social media platforms.
How do I begin?
Start by choosing one social media channel- perhaps the one
you are most familiar with or that your employees or even a family member can
introduce you to. Otherwise, here are a few to choose from that rank high for
ease of use:
Look for social media platforms that easily fit the content
you already have. Are you a writer? Do you advertise using videos? Is your
product or service best described using words or images? Answering these
questions will set you on the right path to selecting social media channels
that best suit your business. For instance, if you own images that help the
customer learn more about your product and help the customer make a buying
decision, then select a social media platform like Instagram or Pinterest.
Instagram predominately posts content in the form of images that can be edited,
manipulated, and filtered for additional customization. Pinterest allows others
to share or “pin” the images you post. Conversely, if you prefer to communicate
with your audience using words and text, try Twitter. Twitter allows you to
post short lines of text that followers can comment on. You can begin a conversation
with your followers anytime and update them with new information in real time
with little effort.
